Your investment in a premium quality spotting scope is essential for the enjoyment of competition shoot and you would need a solid and easy to adjust stand to get your dollars worth. MPS-02B is a multi-use spotting scope stand that helps setting up your scope steady and with the eyepiece positioned for easy access. It can be mounted on the bench top with its two sliding bench mount plates and it also has a tripod base for use at prone position when the scope needs to stay low to the ground and with tripod legs staying away. The stand includes two 21 1/2inch long stainless steel bars of 5/8inch diameter and an aluminum crossbar with a ball head and quick plate. The design allows the scope to be placed at a position where the shooter only needs to make minimal movement to get to the eyepiece.
1. Bench mount position: Use one stainless bar for setting the scope at low height for bench rest rifle use. Use two bars for setting the scope at higher height for standing use such as bullseye pistol shoot or when having a spotter at the scope
2. Prone position: Use the tripod base and one stainless steel bar for prone position such as high power rifle shoot. Suggest adding a cast iron weight plate (not included) on top of the tripod base to stabilize the set
Parts included in the set:
1. Two stainless steel bars of 21 1/2inch long and 5/8” diameter. One of the bar has a ball top and the other has a flange base for connecting with tripod base
2. An aluminum crossbar with a ball head and quick plate of ¼” camera thread
3. Two aluminum clamping plate with long locking handle. The adjustable handles can be repositioned. Top clamping plate has hex screws to give better grip on the bench top should the top surface is not perfectly flat and smooth
4. A wire clip for use on the bar under the crossbar for height setup and a safety to keep the crossbar from free falling
5. A zipper carry bag with shoulder strap
